“ We ate at the restaurant and have previously ordered a takeaway. Good food and friendly service. Biryani, starters and naan were and the manager was charming and attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere could be improved with a little renovation (e.g. one toilet was out of action) and updated music. ”

“ What can I say about India Grill. I haven't been in here for about 20 years after moving out the area, but last Friday we had 2 hours spare between kids clubs so popped in for a curry. On first glance the interior looks a little dated and tired and needs a bit of love, but putting that to one side, the two young members of staff were very polite and welcoming. I always go for a Lamb Madras as my tester dish in new places. It was perfect! The Biriani was served the good old way with the chipati over the top so it's cut open to reveal the dish. Lovely tarka dal, rice and sag paneer. The dal, maybe slightly over salted for my palate but loads of great punchy garlic! The owner for very welcoming with a big smile when we entered and left. This place is positioned with loads of footfall at weekends so maybe it's ripe for the next wave and just needs at least a light refurbishment to make it feel a little more pleasing to the eye on passing. ”

“ Traditional style local Indian restaurant where the service is exceptional. The menu is not extensive but they offer some slightly different different dishes. Their biryani’s are superb and I highly recommend their butter chicken. ”

“ Its been long time we are living in this area and generally we use to pass this hidden gem saying that it may not be the good option for us and we use to travel to central london to enjoy the meal .But today we took a risk and enter into the resturant and we were surprised to know that our assumption was absolutely wrong and we were happy to be wrong here . We love each and every dish that we ordered . We love set meal menue(meat or prawan) where we ordered chicken wings as starter , lamb karahi and pulau rice as main course and final touch was by tea. “ Last Saturday, I had an unforgettable dining experience at The India grill, serving the best Indian cuisine I've enjoyed in years! The starters were phenomenal: the king prawn puree was bursting with fresh, succulent prawns, the fried aubergines were crispy and flavorful, and the lamb samosa, made from scratch, was perfectly spiced and flaky. For mains, the palak paneer was rich and vibrant, while their unique take on it with gooey, mozzarella-like cheese was a delightful surprise. The Maharaja lamb dish was an absolute standout, tender and packed with complex flavors. The owner, an incredibly friendly and warm gentleman, elevated the experience with his genuine hospitality, making every guest feel like family. The attentive service and cozy ambiance perfectly complemented the exceptional food. For outstanding Indian cuisine and a heartfelt dining experience, India grill is a must-visit! ”

“ Visited this evening for the first time. Lovely authentic food. Excellent friendly service. You could taste all the flavours and freshness of all the ingredients. Will be recommending to my friends and family, and definitely visiting again. Its not local to us (About 7-8 miles) but definitely worth the trip. We had Tikka , Korma and Butter Chicken, with the best naan breads ive ever tried. The mince samosas we had as a starter were also crisp and lovely and not greasy or overpowering at all. Gem of a place! ”

“ Wow! We LOVE the food here. This family run buisness in Loughton is high on service and little on price. Cobra on draft, delicious poppadoms and the worlds biggest Nann bread. Go and feast in this fabulous restaurant. ”

“ Such a wonderful first visit to The India Grill this evening. Staying in Loughton for a few days I was dining alone but have seen the place packed at the weekend - so it must be good! You'd hope so - the family have run the business from these premises since 1970 and it's currently listed as the No2 best Indian Restaurant in the whole of Essex. I ventured inside on a snowy, cold and miserable December Monday and I'm so pleased I did. The Owner, Mo and his family gave me a lovely warm-welcome. My order; Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi, Keema Rice, Onion Bhaji. All came, promptly, piping hot, fresh and with beautiful levels of flavour and spicing. Perfect portion size (a decent sized meal)...not too much, not too little. Excellent value. Will be back again, next time with my wife! ”
